Behind the Solutions

With her degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer and Information Sciences, Masha started out in scientific programming, where she wrote code to process and analyze meteorological and oceanographic data for university research groups. Following Hurricane Katrina, as the Mississippi Gulf Coast began the long process of rebuilding, she stepped into construction project management, gaining practical experience coordinating teams and managing timelines – a real-world lesson in logistics, client service, and creative problem solving.

A few years later, a volunteer request to build a website for the Toast to the Coast Fundraising Gala in Pass Christian, MS – a prominent annual event on the Gulf Coast – sparked a broader realization: many local organizations needed practical, approachable tech solutions and sought support. From website design and digital marketing to donor databases and system administration, the scope of projects expanded. As word spread, referrals followed, and MashaWorks Solutions came to be. What began as a side project over 15 years ago grew into a consulting practice focused on enabling small businesses to navigate technology with ease and achieve their goals.
